Instructions

  1. Prepare the Jars

Sterilize your quart jars and lids in boiling water or a dishwasher to ensure they're clean and safe for canning

  1. Fill the Jars

Add 2 cups of cranberries to each quart jar. Adjust the amount based on how strong you’d like the juice to be

  1. Add Sugar

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to each jar, depending on your sweetness preference. You can also leave out the sugar if you'd prefer unsweetened juice.

I like to use organic sugar.
  1. Add Water

Pour boiling water into the jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of headspace. Stir gently with a non-metallic utensil to dissolve the sugar and release air bubbles.

  1. Seal the Jars

Wipe the rims of the jars to remove any residue, then place the sterilized lids on and tighten the bands to fingertip-tight.

  1. Process in Water Bath

Place the jars in a boiling water bath canner, ensuring they are fully submerged. Process for 15 minutes (adjust for altitude if necessary).

  1. Cool and Store

Remove the jars and let them cool completely on a towel or cooling rack. Check that the lids have sealed properly before storing.
